He always seems happy and complacent, without worry. To some he may even seem crazy with how extremely laid back he is. To others he's just a guy who is
really at peace with his place in the world. - Alignment: Chaotic Good
- Nation: Southern Air temple
- Affiliation: Small ties to the Air nation, but for right now is on a journey of self interest. His biggest loyalty lies with Master Tsultrim
- Goal(s): On a spiritual journey for self enlightenment. He's not sure what he's looking for, but he'll know it when he knows it.
- Brief History: Leif was born an air nomad and his life was normal in that regards. He was raised in an open environment by other monks along side other airbenders. Much of his life was helping other developing his bending abilities, and meditating on the spiritual side of life.
In the early years Leif's young mind and free spirit had a key factor in his development as an airbender. He excelled in not just bending but the spiritual side of bending also. Despite this he never grew much of an ego, and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone who was having trouble. The monks were happy with his progress. Most notably who took interest in Leif was Mast Tsultrim.
Tsultrim took the most notice of Leif, and took over his training personally, helping the young airbender push his abilities to the fullest while also making sure his connection to the spiritual side of life was just as sharp. Leif grew very close to master Tsultrim, forming something almost like a father/son bond. The other monks felt that their relationship was becoming problematic, and after just a short few years with Tsultrim Leif began his journey to the other air temples.
Leif took well to each new environment he found himself in, as most airbenders did, and he kept excelling just as he had before. As time went on however, and Leif grew in strength and mind, he began questioning the monks on traditions and creeds they followed. His curious nature, which had at first been praised, began to lead him to his downfall in the eyes of some of the monks. Lief went from star pupil to trouble maker nearly over night.
When the time came Leif earned his tattoos signifying his ascension to master. As was typical of most airbenders who earned their tattoos he went out to see the world. Visiting each temple and gaining wisdom from other teachers. Though most soon settled in places and began their lives teaching Leif did not. He explored out into the world, leaving some of his teachings behind. He explored all areas of knowledge and wisdom.
When he eventually returned the northern temple, eager to teach all that he had learned to growing minds, he got in an argument with Master Keizang,as his teachings were exactly the normal. With his request so quickly denied, Leif said goodbye to all of his old friends yet again, and went off.
Leif traveled the world over again, seeing it's wonders along with it's somewhat shady places. Leif feeling like most of the elder monks had lost their way, views his journey more of a self exile then a spiritual journey. He's looking for a sign that can help him free his people from the ties they put on themselves.Combat Marks - Stat System:

It was gone. Many years have passed since Amnex had visited. It took lots of mental prep to go anywhere, but especially here. The place where it ended. The place where it all began. Where Amnex had lost it all. Where he found his addiction. Where his heart was yet it was gone.
Amnex had exited the corridor, darkness seeping all around him. Amnex sighed. Usually these trips were full of echoes of emotions for him, but it was all gone now. Like a drug suddenly being taken away. Amnex felt no emotion, felt no pain, just the resounding silence of nothing. Amnex couldn't stand this feeling, yet he could have no reaction against it. It was like trying to fight water your drowning in. Water you can't see or feel, but you know it's clogging your breath. Amnex raised the hood on his hoodie, and continued on walking. Through streets he knew very well, and yet were totally foreign as they were now soaked in darkness.
His movements had caused a slight stir, alerting the heartless who now spawned here like a festering wound. Amnex looked at the motley demons, as they rose from the darkness, all around. Off buildings, from the ground, even the very air seemed coated with darkness, and with it the heartless. A bitter smile played across Amnex's face. He could feel the echoes of rage, anger, fear. He did not play them out, they were so pitiful compared to his real feelings it was not only pathetic, but also an insult to his memory. No these thing meant nothing to him now. They couldn't learn, they don't feel pain. He could not teach them. They were slaves. In a way Amnex felt sorry for them. A nobody chooses, a heartless obeys. They hunt for hearts with such a lust his little devotion to his last remaining feeling seemed childish in comparison. The beady yellow eyes followed him as he strolled. In the shadows they scurried, watching from a distance. Obviously Amnex wouldn't appeal to them, he did not have what they desired, they had already emptied him, and tossed him aside.
Amnex eventually got to his old mansion, which was impossible to tell, except that Amnex knew the way too it so well. It's outward appearance was changed so much. Amnex looked at it in interest. Of course, now they were gone. His two biggest reasons for finding a cure, gone, probably the same way he had. Hie imagined the scenario of the heartless tearing what was left of his family to pieces, before eating their hearts, or whatever it is they did. Amnex developed a thousand yard stare standing there, again his life being hugely impacted by the heartless. What to do now, even if he got better, what would he return to? A bulge formed in the palm of his left hand. Soon a bone sprouted from it, and only a small gasp of relief escaped Amnex's lips as he mulled over what to do now. The heartless who were laying in wait, decided he was now a threat, and should be taken care of.
Amnex sensed them, their little claws and feet beating against the ground, in near silence. He closed his eyes, and began to elevate. A pillar of ground pushed him about ten feet up, out of the clutches of the heartless, who stopped at the base. He slowly opened his eyes half way.
"Now surely we don't need to do this. You have nothing for me, and I nothing for you, can we just let each other go on our own business?"
Amnex knew reason was way way beyond them, but with nothing left to live for, he figured he would try to continue his teachings. He didn't like fighting, as it ended more in death then pain, and these devils always fought to the death. They began to climb his feeble pillar. Amnex let out another sigh, this one of disappointment.
"So be it..."
The pillar crumbled, save the few inches Amnex still stood upon, that floated in mid air. The piece of bone ejected further from his palm. The earth around the hole began to swirl drawing in the heartless who had gathered at the base, or attempted to climb the pillar. The whirling motion soon ended, all those inside thoroughly crushed or battered. The empty feeling of his now meaningless existence fell over Amnex again. He spread his arms, eyes still open lazily. He fell backwards, arms wide in a cliche' fashion. He hit the soft ground where the whirlpool had been. In an instant the heartless were on him. Hacking slashing beating. Filling Amnex full of glorious pain. His body instinctively wanted to fight back, to flail about, to get away. Amnex easily over came this, and righted himself. More pain..... Then came a stronger urge, to curl into a ball. The move of one ready to die. This required much more mental strength to get over. Amnex was in control, he was not planning on dieing, and these devils wouldn't do it. This was just pain, it would not kill him. A smile came over his face as the pain turned from the uncomfortable sensation to this warm like substance, that calmed him, telling him there was still life in his skin, he was not dieing. As this feeling came the ground around him folded, and slammed down with a huge force. None of it touched Amnex, it formed a perfect mold of his body. He cleared what was atop him, and made to get up. His body disagreed with him, and he flopped back down. One of the few draw backs to too much pain, your body starts shutting down. With some assistance of his powers he finally stood, though still wobbly. He saw more heartless had already gathered, and were making their move, to kill the wounded nobody.
"I'm sorry but I've had enough for one day, so you all scurry off... or stay for all I care, but I-I-I shall be depr-...depriving you of m-my presence."
His mouth fumbled over a few of the words, as he spoke his good bye to the heartless. A corridor opened behind him, which he tripped backwards into. Back to his home base. Back to that beach, where the nightmare began.
