One of the four temples belonging to the Air Nomads. Located in the mountains along the northern coast of the Earth Kingdom continent, this temple is one of the two temples which exclusively house male Airbenders.

The capital of the Earth Kingdom, encompassing nearly all of the nation's northeastern corner. By far the largest city in the world, more of a small country than a mere city. Named the "Impenetrable City" for its world-famous walls, the gates of which can only be opened by the use of Earthbending. The city has a unique system of walls dividing the populace into different parts of the city based on social status.

A large town located within a mountain range in the southern Earth Kingdom, Gaoling is an old and well-established town. The town has a broad spectrum of citizens residing in it, ranging from the very rich to the very poor. The town is in a valley surrounded by steep, rocky hillsides.

Located in the central Earth Kingdom, it is the largest, driest, and hottest desert in the world. Due to the extreme climate, the region is almost impossible to successfully navigate. The desert is sparsely populated by Sandbender Tribes and beetle-headed merchants. Rumors of something precious hidden in the sands have sent many into the desert, never to return.

A renowned resort area located in the outer islands of the Fire Nation. Set amongst palm trees and luscious vegetation, it is home to many luxurious resorts and vacation homes for the wealthy and powerful from all over the world.

A working class town that is known for its many craftsmen, it nonetheless has very seedy elements as a result of its location. Rumored to be a central location for the Black Market, away from the prying eyes of the government.

This city has a distinct layout, consisting of a harbor surrounded by a dock and the Royal Plaza, with buildings and homes scattered around the surrounding hills. The Fire Nation elite live around the Royal Palace, inside the caldera of a dormant volcano. The city also has an extensive defense mechanism.

The southern division of the Water Tribes, much of it is concentrated in one large city surrounded by a ringed wall of ice. Many smaller villages are scattered over the tundra surrounding the capitol city.

Predominantly a fishing port, this small island is a popular destination among traders and travelers. It is well known as the residence of the elite Kyoshi Warriors, an all-female fighting outfit. The island is characterized by its seclusion and temperate climate.
