Abilities fall into five categories, depending on power. 1 being the weakest and most basic form and four being the strongest. Five is reserved just for very specifically honed abilities( i.e. dual wielding swords one reverse style, or mass blood bending). All abilities begin at tier one and can be advanced from there into further abilities.
Ex: Tier 1- Air blast; A fist sized blast of air, effective to 20 feet.
Tier 2- Air shot; A torso sized shot effective to 25 feet, also makes air blast effective to 30 feet
Tier 3- Gale Blast; A ten foot by ten foot shot of air effective to 40 feet. This also extends Air blast effective to 60 feet, and Air shot to 50.
Tier 4- Whirlwind; A huge gust of wind being around 20-50 feet in width blasting outward to 100 feet. This also extends the other abilities an additional ten feet from Gale Blast
Tier 5- Tornado Rupture; A barely controlled blast launched in one direction that destroys all in it's path up to 120 feet, with the strength to rip up chunks of earth or even small houses
How you gain abilities is through ability points(AP). Prices for abilities will look like this.
Tier 1- 1 AP x (number of tier 1 abilities +1)
Tier 2- 2 AP x (number of tier 2 abilities +1)
Tier 3- 4 AP x (number of tier 3 abilities +1)
Tier 4- 6 AP x (number of tier 4 abilities +1)
Tier 5- Will be priced by the admins
(Exceptions to these prices may be made depending)
All abilities have to be approved by the admins before being posted to your bio. Now you may be asking yourself "Oh powerful Admin of Rage, how do I acquire these amazing ability points?" The answer is there are many ways! They can be prizes in events,(whether rp or for advertising) and rping in general. The better you rp and your participation will gain you more AP. However You can also lose Ap points by breaking the rules. Though this will be more of a final punishment, repeat offenses in any rule breaking may lead to docking points, so please be respectful and courteous so we won't have to worry about it.
At the end of a thread you'll be awarded Thread Points (TP). Depending on characters involved, how well posts were done, time it takes in between posts, and plot will affect how much TP you get. 5 Tp will get you 1 AP. During events you will be awarded straight AP, but that bonus can be affected by the criteria above as well, so no slacking.
